Vocational Rehabilitation

Vocational rehabilitation opens up new career opportunities for people with a congenital disability or one acquired in the course of their lives, as well as enabling them to maintain their current employment. With the workforce participation benefits, the job can be maintained. However, qualifications can also be acquired through further training or retraining programs that open up new career prospects.

Institutions such as vocational rehabilitation centres, vocational rehabilitation centres for young adults or sheltered workshops are the statutory points of contact in Germany when it comes to vocational rehabilitation and participation in working life for people with disabilities.

To find out more about the tasks, target groups and specific offers of the three types of facility, take a look at the respective description of the Rehabilitation World.
